The IICRC Health and Safety Technician (HST) course is a 2-day class that is a MUST for anyone performing restoration or mold remediation. This course is designed to increase safety in the workplace and reduce company risk of costly fines and penalties from OSHA. The students will learn hands-on techniques for proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment, evaluating material safety data sheets (MSDS) and proper use of fire extinguishers. This course will provide all students with a 10-hour OSHA General Industry Compliance Card that is valuable for contractors providing bids and site-specific safety plans for certain projects. This class is also required to a Master Water or Fire Restorer! AS A BONUS….Each company will be provided 8 written safety health plans that OSHA requires. These programs are in a Word document that can easily be edited with company information so that OSHA compliance has never been easier! The written programs include:
- Respiratory Protection
- PPE
- Emergency Action
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Confined Space
- Noise
- Hazardous Communication
- Fall Protection
IICRC exam fee is $85.00. This is an OPEN book exam.
IICRC requires exams to be prepaid through your IICRC account for in person and live stream courses, if you do not have an account with the IICRC you will need to create your account prior to prepaying. Exams must be prepaid prior to attending the course.
