IICRC® WRT-ASD COMBO
Instructor – Bryan Brainerd
The Water Damage Restoration Technician / Applied Structural Drying (WRT/ASD) course combines subject matter of WRT and ASD courses in one training period. The course must be completed in its entirety and both exams must be passed during the same period. This combined course will enable the participant to obtain IICRC-WRT and IICRC-ASD certification.
The Combo course is conducted over a 5-day period encompassing 31 hours of actual course instruction with additional time required for exam periods, lunch, and breaks.
The concept of this course is simple. The process of getting a structure dry from a water damage to safely repair, is known as restorative drying. The field of restorative drying has evolved over the last few decades. Restorative drying is a combination of art and science.
This course will cover the assessment, documentation, science, and processes used to complete a water damage project. Students will learn to understand various types of equipment, how that equipment operates, especially in different circumstances. Understanding the science behind the scenes enables attendees to completely gauge the overall performance of the project. This is all done from an academic level, and then actual hands-on learning experience using our two story “fun house” that sustains a practical water loss to learn from.
There is a test fee of $80.00 for each exam (WRT, ASD), payable directly to IICRC® on the final day of the course, prior to receiving your certificate.
