The Fire and Smoke Remediation Technician (FSRT) course concentrates on technical procedures for successfully and safely completing the restoration of a fire and smoke damaged structure. management of restoration of damage related to fire and smoke exposure. It will address technical and practical procedures including fire science and behavior, job site management and proper estimating of projects. This course will enable the participant to obtain IICRC-FSRT certification and much more!

Students attending this course will actively be working in an actual smoke damage structure demonstrating the following (while wearing appropriate PPE):

• Initial Inspection
• Communication and Documentation
• PPE & Safety Considerations
• Process of Remediation
• Corrosion Mitigation and Site Mitigation
• Initial Equipment set up
• Content Processing
• Structural Cleaning and Restoration
• Hard Surface Contents
• Soft Finish Contents

At Restoration Academy, the FSRT course is conducted over a 3-day period encompassing 21 hours of actual course instruction, including hands-on performance, with additional time required for exam periods, lunch, and breaks.

Per the IICRC exams are required to be paid through your IICRC account, if you do not have an account with the IICRC you will need to create one. This process needs to be completed, and exams paid prior to attending class to be eligible to take the exam(s). If you prefer to pay for your exam(s) by check that option is available, creating your IICRC account will still be required. Provide your instructor with your check prior to taking the exam(s).
